Offers a selection of extremely well positioned apartments, the vast
mojority of which lie directly on Kreschatik, the main street of Kiev. The rest
are located within 3-5 minute walk away from Kiev's "Gran Via". After

As part of our ongoing research into the realms of hospitality in the Ukrainian capital, we chose Kreschatik Suites as our test target this week. This is by far not the first service provider in the hospitality sector we come after, but Kreschatik Suites has once again dispelled the myth that Kiev's standards are lagging behind some of the prominent European capitals. Here is why. When we called in to inquire about the possiblity of accommodating three foreign businessmen, we were immediately greeted by an easy, yet confident female that spoke surprisingly grammatically and syntactically correct English. After briefly summarising our needs the voice promptly proceeded to list the availble options which would adequately meet the requirements of three grown up men. Eventually we settled on a two room apartment and a one room studio, the former comfortably positioned midway along Kreschatik - around the corner from the central metro station and a four minute walk from the largest food market in Kiev, as well as a diverse variety of restaurants and coffee shops. After a quick check in at the office, which was actually located near Arsenalna, past the Rada (the House of Parlament), we were dropped off Kreschatik in a neat minibus in a swift and comfy manner. Our first impressions were a sense of amazement at the amount of effort which went into polishing the place - from the choice of etched wall paper to the tasteful combination of colours among the wallpaper, the parquet floor, the kitchen and the bathroom. At $130 per night for a stylish crib in the centre of the city, we were in for a relaxing day's stay away from the office.
